Sega star Sonic the Hedgehog holds seven different Guinness World Records, including the “Best Selling Retro Game Compilation”. Though long thought of as Sega’s official mascot, there was another character before the blue hedgehog took the title - a strange little monkey boy called Alex Kidd. We can see why they opted for Sonic in the end.
