Sally Ride was the first American woman in space, but that didn’t stop the media asking her stupid questions. One reporter once asked her: “Do you weep when things go wrong on the job?” She replied saying “how come nobody ever asks (a male fellow astronaut) those questions.” Another dared to ask: “Will the flight affect your reproductive organs,” to which she calmly replied, “there’s no evidence of that.”
