Elvis Presley became known as the King of Rock and roll, but did you know he was told at an audition “you’ll never make it as a singer”. Working as a truck driver at the time, the young Elvis was told to stick to the day job as his talents weren’t considered good enough by a band-singer Eddie Bond. Later, when Elvis successful recorded big Memphis hit “That’s All Right”, Eddie got back in touch with the singer and asked him whether he would join their band. In a wise career move, Elvis politely declined.
