Like many of Nintendo’s best creations, Zelda is the brainchild of Shigeru Miyamoto, who spent his childhood, like his character, roaming the countryside in search of the unexpected. He even came across a hole one day, and unlike a normal child, grabbed a lantern, lit it and jumped in, uncovering an entire underground cave system. What a legend.
