Baby alpacas and llamas share the same name - they’re referred to as a ‘cria’. While distinguishable in terms of the quality of fleece and other characteristics, these animals are so similar that can even interbreed and create a ‘huarizo’. Unfortunately, these sad inbred animals will never have a baby, as they are sterile.
