While Michael Jackson got into hot water for dangling his baby out the window, he wasn’t the first to do it. The ‘baby cage’ is an ACTUAL THING that was invented in the 1920s for high-rise families to provide their infants with fresh air. Whilst healthy air has lots of benefits for young infants, we’re not sure what Freud would say about the potential trauma associated with being swung out the window in a baby cage.
